My name is Laura Evans and I am the music teacher at Woodland Elementary. I attended Berea College, East Tennessee State University, and Lincoln Memorial University. I hold degrees in Music Education, Elementary Education, and Supervision and Administration. I am happily married to Mike Evans and we have one son, David. I love the outdoors, spending time with family and I am an avid runner.

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
Ask your child what they have been singing, playing, and/or learning about in music class.

Time: Each classroom in grades Kindergarten through Fourth will receive one hour of music each week.
A+ Grades: Grades are given every 9 weeks in grades 2-4, based on participation and behavior. Third and Fourth Grades receive letter grades; A, B, C, D, or F.

Materials: We have African Drums, xylophones, keyboards, boomwhackers, and a variety of other rhythmic instruments that we use in class.
GRADES 3 and 4 Only You will be playing recorder this year. You will be applying what you have learned about reading music to this instrument PERFORMANCES:
